Rumor Claims Ubisoft+ Will Join Xbox Game Pass Next Year - DualShockers

EA Play is its own subscription service, allowing players to pay a monthly fee to access a wealth of EA specific titles, however, when it joined Xbox Game Pass, players only had to pay for a monthly fee for Xbox Game Pass to get access. Ubisoft also has its own similar subscription service that was originally known as Uplay+ before being recently rebranded as Ubisoft+ earlier this year.

According to Idle Sloth who shared an Xbox Worlds article (Thanks, Somosxbox), those on Xbox Game Pass could be getting access to Ubisoft+ sometime in Holiday 2021.

The article details a roundup of the top 10 rumors for Xbox, with numerous claims such as; Xbox being set to acquire SEGA next year, Xbox securing publishing rights to a big AAA game that’s launching in 2021, and apparently, Forza Horizon 5, Starfield, and Wolfenstein 3 are rumored to be launching next year for Xbox consoles. However, there seems to be no weight to any of the rumors being made, and so don’t take them as fact.

Regarding the Ubisoft+ rumor, given how back in September 2020 Xbox Game Pass saw over 15 million users, it would be a fairly smart move to do this. EA Play is currently available on Xbox consoles through the Game Pass service — although those on Game Pass for PC have to wait a bit. If Ubisoft+ launched in Holiday 2021, there’s that chance that EA Play’s inclusion could end with Ubisoft’s stepping in its place.

Once again, rumors are rumors so don’t go reading this and taking it as gospel, instead, speculate and join us for a good old chinwag in the comments.
